Custom Cedar Gates, Built Right for Your Project
At Pacific Gate Works, everything begins with a simple conversation. We talk about your project, your needs, and your vision. I personally guide every step — selecting each board by hand and shaping the work to fit your life, your home, your style.
A thoughtful project takes time. I sketch, we refine, and we don’t begin building until the details feel right. We focus on longevity, function, and quiet beauty: how the gate attaches, how it swings, how it secures, and the finish that protects it for years to come.
I use premium Western Red Cedar — highly sought after for its stability and warmth — and rely on traditional methods because they’re proven. Less is more. Good conversation matters. Trust, clarity, and transparency matter even more.
I take on only a limited number of projects each month so you receive the attention a custom piece deserves. Lead time is a couple months, shipping is direct, and pricing is all-inclusive.
Your Project, Step by Step
Start by browsing my gallery. You’ll see custom wood gates I’ve been involved with for more than twenty years, across many project types, homes, and landscapes.
If a style catches your eye — or if you’re simply exploring options — send me a note. Ask your questions, share a bit about the project, and include the best way and time to reach you. No need to have all the details sorted.
I’ll connect personally to understand the situation: the opening, swing direction, attachment method, access needs, latching and locking preferences, and the look you’re aiming for. Builders often share plans or site photos; homeowners often start with a rough idea. Either works.
From there, I create a simple design board and a clear, all-inclusive proposal delivered to you. The goal is to make the process easy and straightforward — with precision, and without unknowns.
Once you’re comfortable moving forward, the gate is crafted with care and attention. Every detail is overseen. The result is a gate that feels right from the moment it arrives on site and for years after installation.
